We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, hardworking self-starter who wants to gain experience in an International business.

This role will work closely with the SVP – Commercial in examining the daa International business with a view to determining strategies and approaches for the continued success of the business. The Commercial Analyst will report to the SVP Commercial.

This role will require flexibility on the part of the role holder to travel as part of their duties.

  • 5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • 3rd level or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Experience of working cross functionally, developing and positively influencing stakeholder relationships
  • High personal motivation, integrity and tenacity
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrate ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as positively influence as part of a cohesive team

  • Develop an appropriate system of financial analysis in order to extract and present key data on the commercial function of the business:
  • Sensitivity Analysis, Predictability Analysis, Probability Analysis, Scenario Building and Exposure risk management in supporting SVP – Commercial to develop a sound business case on opportunities, pipeline and return on investment of same
  • Provide relevant financial and general business input to the formulation of commercial strategies, bid proposals and contract negotiations
  • Develop scenario-based modelling and simulation decision analysis options to support the Commercial team in planning for growth and profitability
  • Contribute proactively to continuous improvement in commercial services in terms of operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Supporting Head of Commercial by playing a key role of business case justification – using sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions when necessary
  • Communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential objections and persuade others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view.
  • Ability to apply understanding of the industry and how commercial contributes to the achievement of financial/strategic objectives
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial and business case analyses as needed.
