An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Capacity Analyst to join Dublin Airport. The role holder will principally be responsible for conducting simulation modelling analysis of the airfield component of the airport, using commercial simulation software (CAST) and supporting the Planning and Economic Regulation team by providing technical input to reports and presentations. The role holder will create models, analyse and interpret results to support business cases, the planning of facilities and will ensure the efficient use and optimisation of existing infrastructure. The role is also responsible for supporting the end-to-end seasonal capacity declaration process.

  • Third level qualification in maths, science, engineering or other relevant discipline
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and organisational skills
  • 2-3 years post graduate work experience
  • Detailed knowledge of simulation modelling tools and techniques
  • Analytical with a keen eye for accuracy and detail
  • Strong IT Skills with experience of analytical / statistical tools
  • Able to communicate technical outputs to internal and external stakeholders, often to non-technical audience
  • Experience in operations research, business analytics or data mining is desirable
  • Knowledge of airport operational and reference data is desirable

  • Responsible for the evaluation, analysis and formulation of key findings based upon airfield simulation studies, to provide business support and information and assist the Airfield Planning team in devising future airfield development and operational strategies
  • Input into the planning stage of future airfield rehabilitation works by assessing through simulation modelling their impact on the airfield operation
  • Ensure the information and data held in Dublin Airport’s simulation models is well managed, controlled and constantly reviewed and updated
  • Responsible for the evaluation of revised airfield operational concepts, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the concepts are practical and robust before implementation
  • Responsible for the completion of stand planning projects using forecast flight schedule information
  • Keep up to date with developments in analysis methods and techniques
  • Develop knowledge of airport management, operations and Dublin Airport’s wider business / commercial activities in order to provide informed interpretation, analysis and reporting
