    ARI eCommerce Replatform

    Customers don’t go online any more, they are online all the time, researching and buying the products they love. The eCommerce replatform project will capitalise on these customer trends and will transform how Aer Rianta International sells around the world. The project will deliver a new eCommerce platform built on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud and will change how ARI presents over fifteen thousand products online. First, we will work on our Irish (www://theloop.ie) and New Zealand (www.theloopdutyfree.co.nz) sites, and then we will roll out to our other twelve airports.



    This role

    The role is a twelve-month fixed term contract based in our Dublin office. You will be one of four people in charge of the commercial workstreams of the project. You will be focussed on planning, sourcing and merchandising the content for the site. Working with brands like Chanel, Estee Lauder, Lancôme and Boss. It will suit someone who is interested in developing their career in eCommerce and or digital. You will learn how an eCommerce site is built and run, and how it can transform web traffic into sales. You are likely to have completed your degree in the past two or three years.


    To succeed in this position, you will need to be able to work as part of a team, follow a process and be able to engage with our brand partners. Enthusiasm and interest in the products we sell, retail and eCommerce will undoubtedly help you to thrive in the role.





    • Educated to 3rd level (Business or eCommerce qualification)
    • 2 years relevant work experience preferred but graduates coming from a relevant third level course may also be considered
    • Advanced Microsoft office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
    • Excellent communication skills, especially via email and phone, as most of our partners are abroad
    • Hardworking, practical and able to work at speed
    • Attention to detail and ability to hit deadlines
    • Experience of working on the development or management of an eCommerce site
    • Basic knowledge of Photoshop or other tools to manipulate graphics



    • Experience of working with the products we sell: beauty products, alcohol and souvenirs
    • Worked with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or a comparable eCommerce platform e.g. Magento, Hybris
    • Experience merchandising an eCommerce site
    • Ability to write basic HTML
    • Ability to write good copy




    • Contact brand partners requesting relevant product content
    • Track the delivery of product information
    • Input product information into the eCommerce system
    • Ensure accuracy of product information
    • Update product graphics to uniform size for ARI website
    • Create product and promotion landing pages
    • Help build and test (UAT) website
    • Attend weekly and daily project meeting
    • Report on progress of work
    • Solve project related problems as they arise
    • Help to redesign the processes that underpin the website e.g. Customer Care, Click & Collect process
    • Input into the design and user experience of the site
    • Help craft the go to market communications to support the launch of the sites
    • Work with the technical team and System Integrator to clarify requirements and debug issues as required
