    The role – 12 month Maternity cover contract

    An opportunity has arisen for a talented Accountant to join the ARI Finance team, based in ARI’s head office in Grattan House, (Dublin 17). Reporting into the ARI Global Head of Finance you will be part of a central finance team of 10 and will have regular interactions with both the local Business unit finance teams (sited internationally within each retail operation) and the corporate group finance function within daa.

    The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for delivery of the Financial elements of the annual budget, quarterly reforecasts and production of a 5-year corporate plan. It is an exciting opportunity for a bright, ambitious accountant who would like to work within a leading global travel retail company. It will suit a qualified accountant who has post qualified experience working in a similar FP&A/Financial Analyst focused role. Although this is a maternity cover contract you will gain great exposure in this role and will have the opportunity to apply to roles within the wider ARI/daa group after this contract.

     

    Qualifications

     

    Essential

    • Qualified professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA
    • Excellent analytical and computer skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to articulate complex processes and concepts.
    • Experience in meeting deadlines, coordinating activities, and escalating risks and issues.

     

    Preferred

    • 2-3 years post qualified experience working in a similar FP&A or Financial Analyst focused role in retail or a similar commercial finance environment.
    • Trained in a Big 4 accounting firm
    • A third level qualification in Business Studies or Accountancy

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Co-ordinate the financial planning activities, primarily for budgeting, reforecasts and 5-year corporate plans, for the ARI group. Ensure all plans are underpinned with sound robust assumptions & projections and delivered in line with daa Group timelines.
    • Bring sound commercial challenge to the business plans / budgets of ARI’s business units (including the central support office).
    • Maintain the risk register for ARI, including the coordination of monthly and quarterly updates.
    • Maintain the Balanced Scorecard for ARI, including the coordination of monthly and quarterly updates.
    • Prepare reporting packs (for financial plans) and other required presentations / reports as required.
    • Provide key financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis as required.
    • Assist in the creation and delivery of KPI reporting for the ARI group.
    • Supporting the ARI finance team with on-going activities.
