    daa SSC in Limerick

    Dublin Airport Authority (daa) employs 3,300 people at its Irish airports and has a further 800 people working for its international businesses. We have a specialist Finance Shared Service centre based in the National Technology Business Park in Limerick (directly beside the University of Limerick) where over 60 employees are based in various teams specialising in Accounts Payable, Billing and Revenue Assurance, Financial Reporting, Customer Service, Employee Services & Payroll and Workforce Support. The campus is located just 6 km east of Limerick City on the Dublin Road and parking is available onsite.

     

     

    This role

    These exciting roles are arising from a strategic decision to migrate procurement administration tasks from Group Procurement to Shared Services.

     

    Daa plc and Its subsidiary Aer Rianta International cpt contract for spend of over 0.25 billion on an annual basis. The new procurement administration roles will work closely with group procurement and also the Payables and Expenses and Financial Reporting teams in Shared Services.

     

    The role will initially focus on the successful migration of the procurement admin tasks to SSC and once migrated the focus will be on Continuous Improvement and enhancement of the processes. These roles will initially be offered as a 24-month contract.

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • At least one years professional work experience working in a busy procurement/accounts/adminstration focused role
    • Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and with excellent attention to detail
    • Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving as well as a desire to constantly learn and improve
    • Exceptional communication skills required
    • MS Office skills are necessary with strong Excel skills
    • Highly organised individual who can prioritise and has a proven ability manage numerous tasks simultaneously

     

    Preferred

    • Experience using Oracle, SharePoint and MS Office
    • Experience supporting or managing migration of work or other large projects a distinct advantage
    • Prior experience working in a similar SSC/multinational environment may be advantageous
    • Project management or Program management: Demonstrated ability in supporting projects to successful on-scope, on-budget, on-time completion
    • Continuous Improvement experience

    Responsibilities

    • Processing purchase order requests (requisitions), contract purchase & blanket purchase agreements with suppliers on a daily basis to ensure continuity of supply.
    • Maintain system data that supports accurate, efficient and controlled procurement.
    • Manage escalations and queries from internal customers and external suppliers regarding purchase order status, price/delivery date changes and cancellation requests.
    • Work closely with external suppliers to ensure that all data is up to date (Tax Clearance Certificates, contact details, insurance details, Contractors Admin Services, bank details and VAT details).
    • Liaise with the Procurement Lead and Category Manager on all aspects of procurement.
    • Maintain existing reports and work to augment the reporting capabilities of group procurement to meet its strategic goals.
    • Supporting Category manager in the administration of the various sourcing activities.
    • Demonstrate commitment to the company and daa Shared Services vision, purpose and goals and live the daa values daily.
    • Other ad hoc requests as required.
