    This role

    An opportunity has arisen for a finance professional with proven experience to join the Group Reporting Financial Team. The successful candidate will work within the Group Finance team (Financial Reporting, Business Planning & Analysis, Treasury and Tax), reporting to the Group Reporting Manager. You will have regular interactions with both the various local Business unit finance teams and the Group Corporate functions.


    The primary purpose of this role is to be a key contributor in the preparation of the daa group consolidated management accounts, producing reports and presentations to various stakeholder groups and a be key player in the annual statutory process. It is an exciting opportunity for a bright, ambitious accountant who would like to join a high-profile team. You will be exposed to all aspects of the daa group and will gain an excellent understanding of how the different businesses operate in diverse environment. There are lots of opportunities for learning and development and it is anticipated that there would be lots of opportunities for progression internally for someone that can succeed in this role.



    • Qualified professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to articulate complex accounting/ financial concepts to senior executives and key stakeholders.
    • Excellent analytical and computer skills, particularly Excel, Powerpoint, Oracle, Hyperion.
    • Experience in meeting deadlines, coordinating activities and escalating issues.
    • Strong technical and analytical skills.
    • Self-starter with leadership ability.



    • Two - three years post qualified experience working in industry or practice
    • Trained in Big 4 accounting firm
    • A third level qualification in Finance, Business or Accounting


    • Production, preparation and reporting of consolidated monthly management reporting pack and the annual statutory accounts
    • Preparation of financial reports and analysis for various stakeholders (Board of Directors, Executive Team, Board of Audit & Risk Committee)
    • Assist with the external audit process including being a key point of contact for the external auditors and the internal finance teams to ensure that the process runs smoothly and in accordance with the timelines. Preparation of group financial statements, yearend analysis and presentations to the Board
    • Researching, documenting and providing advice to decision makers on financial reporting and accounting implications of key transactions and investment decisions
    • Technical accounting research and group-wide assistance and other technical accounting matters in relation to FRS 102 and Companies Act 2014
    • Liaise and work closely with SSC, corporate services and other internal finance business units on accounting transactions and governance, compliance items.
    • Potential assistance with and involvement in Treasury and Taxation related items which arise for consideration within the group finance function
    • Compliance with appropriate internal controls to ensure integrity and quality of financial reporting is maintained. Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Mentoring and developing indirect reports.
    • Supporting the CFO and the Senior Group finance team with respect to adhoc queries which may arise in respect of the group key business units
