     A varied and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Governance Manager, reporting to the Chief Governance and Strategy Officer with daa. The role holder will be responsible for governance across the daa Group, providing oversight and guidance to the business on governance matters and managing requirements of Boards, Board Subcommittees and Shareholder. The role also incorporates the requirement to play a leading role in shaping and influencing the Group’s approach to governance. This role is based at Dublin Airport.

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Possess a legal, accounting or other relevant professional qualification
    • ICSA qualified desirable
    • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
    • Knowledge of corporate governance and compliance essential
    • Management experience desirable
    • Ability to contribute at a strategic level
    • Ability to challenge at all organisational levels
    • Strong influencing and facilitating skills
    • Ability to foster good relationships both internally and externally
    • Ability to clearly communicate complex issues

    Responsibilities

    • Design and implement new standards and governance frameworks that meet changing business needs across the Group
    • Work with and influence shareholder policy on a wide range of matters
    • Proactively provide advice and oversight on a range of governance matters to boards and senior business leaders
    • Build networks internally and externally – represent daa on external fora as required
    • Build positive relationships with board members and executives and add value from governance and administrative perspectives
    • Research changes in relevant corporate governance legislation/guidelines, proactively manage cross functional dialogues that influence change
    • Interpret requirements and take appropriate action to ensure how daa operates in this sphere is agile, fit for purpose, understood and well communicated throughout the organisation
    • Ensure the company’s legal entities are complying with laws and regulations and relevant internal governance requirements
    • Design and prepare governance aspects of annual report and other relevant publications
    • Prepare board and board sub-committee papers, resolutions and presentations; attend meetings as required
    • Take on non-routine, non-prescriptive matters and work through issues, present proposals and formulate policy
    • Provide day to day management and oversight of administrative functions across a wide range and variety of issues
    • Embrace technology and provide innovative solutions that drive efficiencies
    • Contribute as part of senior Strategy and Governance team
