Overview

 

The primary purpose of this role is to support our Shared Services Centre portfolio of applications as a functional systems analyst. By understanding the processes executed on each system, this role will proactively work together with our IT teams to ensure Shared Services systems are working effectively and that continuous improvement is to the fore in terms of system configuration, utilisation, and Business Reporting. This role will also work closely with IT and external vendors to progress the SSC agenda in terms of issue resolution.  The role will require collaboration across all SSC teams, our IT teams, and our software suppliers to ensure we are getting best value from all our services.

Qualifications

  • A third level qualification in IT or suitable experience
  • Project Management certification would be a distinct advantage.
  • Microsoft stack experience a distinct advantage.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience working as system analyst or business systems support role across multiple business systems supporting Financial, Procurement, projects, and payroll processes.
  • Business analysis & requirement gathering experience with proven methodologies.
  • Experience drafting & publishing Process maps and user support documentation.
  • Positive and flexible work attitude
  • Microsoft Office; Power Query/ BI
  • Databases similar to Oracle and MS SQL to develop end user reports.
  • Committed to daa values.

Responsibilities

  • Support/manage SSC portfolio of applications, first line functional support and process related analysis.
  • Draft business requirements document(s) to clearly articulate the business challenge, needs & benefits.
  • Working with IT, plan and Provide Release Management and change control for system upgrades and product enhancements to ensure that risk is managed effectively and that improvements in application functionality are applied effectively and with minimal risk or impact to our business.
  • Continuous development of plans for failover and testing of critical systems to ensure resilience is in place and tested, including business continuity planning.
  • Escalation liaison with IT teams for prioritisation, analysis & resolution of any technical incidents or problems
  • Continuously improve the application support process, identifying opportunities for automation and process optimization.
  • BI Experience – experience in data analytics roles or a related discipline. Experiencing in designing, implementing BI systems for business users, including reporting dashboards, Microsoft stack experience a distinct advantage.
  • Gain knowledge in own area, stay abreast of technology trends and developments, develop expertise in internal products, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques.
  • The Key systems in use across SSC processes include the following.
    • SAP Concur – Employee Expense Management
    • Freshdesk Customer Support System
    • Kofax – Accounts Payable Invoice Optical Character Recognition System (OCR)
    • TrueCommerce – Accounts Payable Invoice Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
    • SharePoint – Online File Storage
