Overview

An exciting new opportunity has arisen in Dublin Airport’s Managing Directors function. Reporting to The Head of DAP Business Management, The ESG Lead, will be responsible for ensuring the delivery or a robust ESG program across the Dublin Airport function, leading to the achievement of out ESG targets.

 

The main purpose of this role is the delivery of projects across the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) workstreams with particular focus on the development and evolution of DAP’s ESG programme, ensuring its delivery and growth to meet both stakeholder expectations and legislative requirements. This role is expected to evolve over time as we navigate the ESG agenda, with adaptability and a passion for developing the area being key attributes for this position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position within a fast-paced environment.
  • Third level qualification in a business or other related discipline.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex topics and the impact on our business.
  • Self-starter with an appetite to embrace new challenges as they arise.
  • Experience of engaging with external groups in support of company objectives/agenda.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail in their daily work, and a high level of accomplishment and motivation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (strong report writing and presentation skills vital).

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the DAP SMT and play a lead role in both setting strategic ESG objectives and targets, and in ensuring the DAP BU meets these ESG objectives on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop annual targets and initiatives and communicate the approach in a clear manner. Involves coordination of multiple business areas and leadership in driving appropriate ambition and targets.
  • Interpret and critically analyse and assess evolving ESG regulations and frameworks at the local, regional, and international levels, and provide technical expertise and guidance across the BU on key issues related to environmental and social performance, sustainability, and corporate governance, to support DAP in meeting its requirements.
  • Translate and incorporate the daa ESG strategy in the development of local policies and ensure on the ground implementation of these policies.
  • Analyse ESG reporting data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and actionable insights for improvement.
  • Lead and / or support multiple projects to deliver new/improved initiatives to meet ESG expectations and reporting requirements.
  • Manage inputs to the Group’s ESG reporting preparatory work including materiality assessments, peer benchmarking, stakeholder engagement, gap analysis, and metrics/KPI identification.
  • Represent DAP at group level acting as the single point of contact for DAP on all its ESG targets and initiatives.
  • Identify and prepare information to regularly communicate ESG developments, improvements, initiatives, case studies, etc. to colleagues in Communications, Marketing and Corporate Affairs.
  • Carry out research and benchmarking to understand and develop solutions to respond to the complex and evolving policy, regulatory, and business environment risks and opportunities associated with ESG.
