Overview

The Commercial Department is a critical business unit for Dublin Airport and daa Group, managing a broad portfolio of products and business partnerships ensuring a quality passenger experience is delivered, authentic business partnerships are developed, and commercial return is maximised.

 

The core business units across commercial are Advertising, Car Parks, Dublin Airport Travel Services, Concessions, Food & Beverage, Property and Dublin Airport Central. Commercial is a fast paced, dynamic and opportunity seeking environment. The Commercial Dept. generated €190m+ in revenue for Dublin Airport in 2022 and as air travel continues to recover, this is an exciting chance to be part of the team to rebuild, restore and set-up to deliver future commercial growth.

 

The Commercial B2C portfolio comprises both Car Parking and DATS and supported by an established analytics function. The B2C portfolio is undergoing significant transformation, is consumer focused where delivery of high-quality customer experience is critical. 

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Commercial Team for the role of e-commerce Product Manager. Reporting to the Head of Dept for Revenue Optimisation, Data & Analytics, as the ecommerce Product Manager for Mobility and Airport Services at Dublin Airport, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development, implementation, and optimization of e-commerce initiatives tailored to enhance passenger experience, streamline operations, and boost revenue generation. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of ecommerce, digital product management, and the unique challenges and opportunities within the airport environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience (8 years) in ecommerce product management, preferably within the travel or airport industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies, mobile applications, and ecommerce platforms. 
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and security standards related to ecommerce in the airport industry.
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for enhancing the passenger experience.
  • Results-driven and able to navigate complex and dynamic environments.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications is required.
  • A critical thinker with natural curiosity and passion for uncovering novel insights.
  • Be a key contributor in the Commercial and B2C Teams.

Responsibilities

Product strategy and roadmap: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for ecommerce initiatives related to mobility and airport services.
  • Align product development with the overall business objectives and customer experience goals.

Stakeholder collaboration: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including daa Labs, IT, marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless integration of digital solutions.
  • Work closely with external partners and vendors to enhance product offerings.

User Experience (UX) and Design: 

  • Champion user-centric design principles to optimize the online experience for passengers utilizing mobility and airport services.
  • Conduct user research, analyse feedback, and iterate on digital products to meet user needs.

Product development and Lifecycle management: 

  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to launch and ongoing optimization.
  • Prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on customer feedback and business impact.

Financial management: 

  • Develop and manage budgets for digital product development initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.
  • Track and report on key financial performance metrics related to the ecommerce product portfolio.

Data-driven decision making: 

 

  • Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Make informed decisions to drive product enhancements and achieve business objectives. 

Regulatory compliance: 

  • Ensure all digital products comply with relevant regulations and security standards.

Market research and Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, technologies, and competitive offerings.
  • Position Dublin Airport as a leader in digital innovation within the airport industry.
