This Role:

 

The main purpose of this role is to lead and motivate the Retail Sales team on any given shift across our direct retail stores in Dublin Airport. You will be part of an exceptional retail leadership team which ensures that the operation performs to the highest level both in terms of customer service and in terms of driving Sales and PAS (Passenger Average Spend) on a shift basis. This is a great opportunity for a high performing retail manager who would like to work in a fast-paced airport environment and with world-class retailers and brands. Qualifications

  • At least 3 years relevant retail management experience.
  • Exceptional people management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven record of accomplishment in delivering results.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships, influence stakeholders and communicate effectively.
  • Experience working within premium or luxury retail advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends (shift times can vary between 4am and midnight).

Responsibilities

  • Be fully accountable for business performance on a shift basis – you will take a helicopter view of shop operations while leading the team through being a visible presence on shop floor.
  • Embed a ‘customer before task’ ethos, constantly motivating and coaching colleagues at all levels.
  • Achieve sales versus budget and maximise sales versus last year across departments by focussing on PAS (Passenger Average Spend) as a key metric through our “Shift Excellence” programme.
  • Lead, support, coach, challenge and empower your teams, act as a Role Model, inspiring and motivating colleagues.
  • Ensure colleague development is always to the forefront; engage, develop, and retain colleagues within the business.
  • Live the ARI Leadership Standard – build trust, inspire others, deliver results, and shape our future and work collaboratively while driving continuous improvement.
  • Drive colleague engagement and key people leader KPIs; and ensure highest shop floor standards are always maintained.
  • Ensure effective communication in place with Central Support functions (e.g., Buying and Order Management teams).
  • Act as an escalation point as required.
