An opportunity has arisen as Global Head of Merchandise Control in ARI. The main focus of this role is to maximise Sales and Profit by ensuring optimum inventory levels within ARI businesses and minimising excess stock holdings and aged stock. You will act as a strong leader for the Merchandise Control function and in global stock management in the areas of Category Range, Space, Pricing and Stock Planning across the entire ARI Category and Brand Portfolio.
Overall you will support the areas (Senior Management, Buying, Local Operation) by providing optimum Return on Investment on stock, life cycle management and insight on areas risks of underperformance and obsolescence.
We are looking to add someone to our highly collaborative Group Finance Team (Financial Reporting, Business Planning & Analysis, Treasury and Tax). You will report to the Group Director of Finance . You will manage a team of 5 direct reports. This role focuses on managing the production of Group & Central Functions reporting and the Year End Statutory Accounts. You will be exposed to all aspects of the daa group and will gain an excellent understanding of how the different business units operate in a diverse environment. You will have significant amount of interaction in person with senior executives and business leaders.
This role is based at Dublin airport will be offered as a twelve-month contract.
Reporting into the Insights and Planning Manager, the Data Analyst will feed into the delivery of insights that drive customer focused decision making and unlock growth opportunities. As such we are looking for a candidate that has a real passion for ‘connecting the dots’ with data, is self- motivated, detail oriented and has the experience to work on their own initiative, as well as a commercial understanding of the importance and contribution of insights. The role will also require the completion of detailed quantitative and qualitative research projects throughout the year. The position requires someone with curiosity/excellent analytical and data querying skills, strong communication and storytelling ability, and influencing skills along with the ability to work under pressure.
This is a very exciting role as Head of Resource Optimisation. The purpose of the role is to optimise the resource allocation of ~900 security employees across Terminals 1 and 2 and Vehicle Control Posts (VCP). The Head of Resource Optimisation will work closely with the Workforce Support team, Head of Terminals Security, VCP and other key stakeholders to match the supply of resources with customer demand in a dynamic security aware environment and in a way that meets the needs of employees and the Operation. The successful candidate will be involved in delivering the transformation of Security Operations in line with the Security Strategy and current Transformation Program. The role holder will lead the planning, resourcing and analytics teams within the wider Security Operations team.
The Security Operations function at Dublin Airport has specific legal obligations to protect civil aviation from acts of unlawful interference, and to fulfil Dublin Airport’s requirements under the National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP) and associated EU regulations as a minimum standard, while delivering against the Airport Security Programme (ASP). The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) regulates security at the Airport and the Commission for Aviation Regulation (CAR) establishes customer service targets for Security.
This role will be appointed on a personal contract basis.
ARI Global Marketing
The Global Marketing function consists customer marketing, digital marketing, category management and insights. The various teams support all ARI locations at differing levels.
Global Insights Executive:
Reporting to the Global Research & Insights Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting the insights team in delivering in-depth customer knowledge and insights to key markets in order to drive revenue and passenger average spend. The role will specifically focus on managing the external data that comes into ARI and helping the team turn these into action plans.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with numbers such as sales data as well as understanding the basic metrics of customer research. You must be happy working through spreadsheets, pivoting data and delivering clear summaries of what the information says. A core focus of this role will be to create reports that are easily digestible and updated. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and pride themselves on their levels of accuracy. You will need to be organised and plan out your projects in advance yet be competent in dealing with last minute requests for information.
An opportunity has arisen for a talented Accountant to join the ARI Finance team, based in ARI’s head office in Grattan House, (Dublin 17). Reporting into the ARI Global Head of Finance you will be part of a central finance team of 10 and will have regular interactions with both the local Business unit finance teams (sited internationally within each retail operation) and the corporate group finance function within daa.
The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for delivery of the Financial elements of the annual budget, quarterly reforecasts and production of a 5-year corporate plan. An opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory Policy Executive for Dublin and Cork Airports. This position will report into the Head of Security Policy and Risk Management. This role is based in Dublin but there will be a requirement to travel to Cork Airport. This role will be appointed on a personal contract basis.
This is a very exciting role as a Corporate Compliance Officer. As part of the HSSE team, this role will support the coordination of Occupational Health and Safety compliance activities at Dublin and Cork airports in accordance with national legislative requirements.
Reporting into the Corporate Compliance Manager – OH&S, the primary responsibility of this role is to conduct audits of the health and safety management system and documented processes at Dublin and Cork airports, provide management reporting in this regard and track the status of corrective actions. This role also provides technical support and advice to the Business Units at an operational level in the development and drafting of Health and Safety policies and procedures.

This permanent Commercial Finance Analyst role sits as part of a commercial finance team reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Finance (all based in ARI’s head office in Grattan House, Dublin 17). In this role you will support the Commercial function (Buying, Logistic & planning) by providing high quality data and analysis across budget performance, sales performance and margin and investment. This analysis will be focused across Category, Supplier, Sku & Store level. You will add commercial value by identifying trends, challenges & opportunities and by signalling issues that need rectifying.
Another key focus in this role will be to support Buyers during the annual Supplier negotiations by providing high quality pricing analysis, which allows the Buyers to conclude the best possible deal. You will also analyse and suggest margin enhancing opportunities in terms of global pricing, T&C and in investment synergies that can be made.
This role will suit someone with at least two years’ experience working in a commercial or financial analyst type role within another retail organisation. In order to succeed in this role you must have hands on experience analysing & interpreting performance data and commercial offers and statistics. You should also look to proactively identify commercial opportunities to drive commercial decision making.
Daa is seeking a Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) Programme Director to play their part in a 5 year €150million capital works programme running over the next 5 years.
The ‘BHS’ project is a critical compliance project for Dublin and Cork Airports which must be delivered to strict statutory deadlines. It is anticipated that the project will have a capital cost in the range of €100m - €150m and must be delivered in a live environment without disruption to existing services. In Dublin and Cork the delivery will include significant build-out of the current terminal buildings and so will be a highly challenging project which will require sophisticated design and delivery solutions with a substantial degree of innovation.
Applicants MUST have experience from inception to completion of highly complex high value airport / aviation projects.
The Program Director role will lead a programme of baggage handling Standard 3 new install works across daa’s Dublin Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Cork Airports.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join and lead a team focused on baggage handling and to make an immediate impact. Reporting to the Business Director responsible for the development and construction of the airport, you will manage the delivery of the assigned projects within schedule and budget. All three projects will span from 2019 to 2023, are highly complex. This Program Director role will provide leadership to direct/indirect and peer teams, including the design and construction teams. This role will deliver superior project performance including oversight and management of the design, development and construction of the multiple complex airport redevelopment projects.
The Program Director will be responsible for baggage handling works will have a remit for installation of all new EDS Standard 3 EDS, and the modernisation of the Dublin Airport Terminal 1 existing baggage handling facilities. The successful applicant will take immediate responsibility for the programme of works about to start. It is the daa’s intention to contract the programme of works to a facilitation integrator and a BHS integrator under the NEC forms of contract.
